INRAN National Institute of Research in Food and Nutrition is a single government-funded research organization, which carries out basic and applied research in the various areas of study in food science and human nutrition. INRAN has a scientific and technical research staff of 150 employees with competence in food chemistry, food technology, human nutrition, nation-wide dietary surveys, nutritional database design, sensory analysis, consumer food choice. The mission of the Institute of Food research is to perform independent, basic and strategic research into key issues of concern to industry, consumers and regulators. One of the important tasks of INRAN is to advise The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry on matter of human nutrition and consumer policy. INRAN has long experience in international collaboration.
