Raisio Group's business operations are arranged into two areas: Raisio Nutrition and Raisio Life Sciences. Raisio Oyj comprises two profit centres - Food and Feed&Malt - and, similarly, Raisio Life Sciences two - Ingredients and Food Diagnostics. The two business areas share research and development activities, which will be expanded to include a unit focused on developing new business operations. Raisio Nutrition focuses mainly on the Baltic region, particularly Finland, Poland and Russia. Raisio Nutrition produces and markets
1) grain and vegetable oil based foods and potato products
2) highly processed animal feed mixes for livestock animals and special feeds for fish and fur animals
3) brewing malts for the domestic and export market.
The operational structure of Raisio Oyj was modified in autumn 2003. New profit centres were set up for food sales, production and international operations alongside the Animal Feeds and Malt business areas.
