IGV Institut fuer Getreideverarbeitung GmbH (Institute for Cereal Processing Ltd.) is a private research organisation active in the fields of food technology and quality assessment in general including a department of special food technology, which is involved in health grain. The unit works on milling (grinding and sifting), extrusion, roasting and non-food use of cereals, pulses, oilseeds and other processing of agricultural raw materials. The extrusion equipment consists of laboratory scale up to industrial scale machines. Analytical inverstigations complete the methodological basis. IGV has been involved in some EU-projects (Thermoplastic Starch, CRAFT-project Linseed).
